Planting the lake edge

After the wonderful party to dig blackberries, I finally got a chance to plant the hillside with natives.  Ive been threatening this for ages.  Trying the weed cloth to deal with the seed bank of all the other invasive.  I will hate it in a few years, but at the moment I think it's the best solution.

We've got chickens now.  14 layers and 14 baby chicks.  How fun!

Minnesotta visit

I took a trip with Aven (first time on a plane with the baby!) to Minnesota to visit Josh and Shawna and the kidlets.

Juniper was super excited to have a baby to play with

We had a relatively warm day, only in the teens with no wind.  tropical. So, we went for a hike.

It was quite beautiful
