Another weekend aching to get out of town. this time, Stephanie invited me up to Tahoe to join her family for the weekend.

The next day Stephanie and I hiked the Rubicon trail.
I've been escaping Davis every chance I could get. This weekend I coerced Skyler to come hang out at the river with me. Admittedly, it didn't actually take that much effort.
My silly Rinley wouldn't swim, but he would sneak in and wade as long as I want looking.
The American River really is a lovely place
I took Rin to the beach for the first time last weekend. My buddy Jay came along for the ride.
It was beautiful, if foggy the whole time. We both got sunburned.
Rin loved the sand, but want so sure about the waves.
A much needed escape to the mountains
Rin and I went up to visit Grandma. We went for a good hike on the Noble creek trail, one that I remember from childhood.
It was quite pretty
Rin loved it. went absolutely nuts racing up and down every hill he could.

There was the most amazing sunset the other night. I climbed up onto my roof and watched it.
Couldnt decide which pic to post since the sunset kept changing and all that, so I put the whole progression

The best part was that Katherine picked me up from the airport and so I got to see Bella too (even if I was too tired to really interact with her)
On my way back to Helsinki, to pick up Eliska's son and give him the car, I took a side trip to one last park, Turronsuo
