Last week was the Society of Wetlands Scientists annual meeting. It was held in Sacramento this year, quite the contrast from tropical Cairns. Easy commute though. A whole week of talking about wetlands, phew! Fun, but man oh man was it exhausting. Jenise preented a poster, and I dont think she had more than 5 minutes between grillings.
She took it very well though, but I do believe she more than deserved this wiskey and coke!
Her good friend Jeff from Florida (well, now Texas, but that is how college freindships go) was also there. He was a blast, kept me going through a couple of deadly boring talks, and made the break times giggle worthy as well.
All in all, it was a good time. Glad to be back to work though, its less exhausting!
