Zamek

Dasa took the day off on Thursday to show us a bit of Czech.  This time we went to a new zamek that I hand't been to yet.

Hugo wasn't too thrilled to be drug around to another castle (don't need to understand Czech to translate that one). But he was a good sport

The inner walls were covered with faded frescos

Supposedly of Greek gods, but seemed more like caricatures of world cultures to me

Hugo and the peacock

It's a reasonably modern chateau.  It was a hunting lodge for the ubiquitous Rosenburg family.

Build in marshland, so the moat is there to keep the supporting timbers wet so they don't rot.  Guess if you are mostly wet, all wet is best

It had pretty gardens and apple trees

The swans

We took a tour inside, but no pictures allowed.  It was a very well done staging though.

the church attacked is much older

And Hugo got a sword, so I guess he wasn't so miserable after all.
