When the rug dealer sent us to the chora museum, he had one of his boys drive us. Driving in Istanbul is terrifying, but man oh man do the drivers know their cars down to the inch. It was fun to see more of Istanbul than our two feet could carry us

Then our driver took us to one of his favorite spots, a cafe above a cemetery overlooking the city. You could see forever
This is the golden horn, a little arm of the Bosphorus that divides the old city from the more modern downtown. You can just see the old town in the distance on the right
