Kaya Koyu

Kaya Koyu was a much more modern ruin, a town abandoned around 1923.  But it is one with a fascinating history.  Kayakoy was a Greek Orthodox town that was forcibly relocated and its inhabitants traded with ethnic Turks living in Greece.  The new inhabitants came from a flat, fertile farmland and were uninterested in int his hillside place.

The houses were roofless, but in a pretty good state for having been abandoned that long.
Chimneys, paint colors...

Fireplaces

Basically you could just wander all the old paths and lanes

One of two churches

It was a really fascinating place
