On our second day in Istanbul, we spent a lot of time wandering around
I liked this building
Lots of street vendors selling fruit
The Blue Mosque from a side street (I climbed on a wall to take this picture, woo)
Fun side street
The Bosphorus from a construction site
Old wall and taxis
More fruit
Corn
Views of the neighborhood on the north side of the old city
I liked the street vendors
A fun old bank that had a net mix of ottoman and art deco styles
Our goal oaths walk was to go to the spice bazaar. Also known as the Egyptian market or
Mısır Carsısı
Lots of spices and turkish delight
On our way back we walked through the grand bazaar area, but everything was shut down for the day
It was sort of strange to see so little activity. We went to this general region a few days later and it was total chaos
Cute
Oranges and pomegranates
Even closed down, there are lots of people about
Cute family
Back to the hippodrome at night. Fun day
